  • The Superintendent Cadre are:
  • senior ranking officers comprising of Assistant Superintendent of Customs.
  • Applicants that are between the ages of 18-30 years
  • Applicants who possess a Bachelor’s Degree or a HND equivalent in any of the following field of study and NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate

Police kill nine notorous robbery suspects along Abuja-Kaduna highway



The Nigeria Police Force says its operatives have killed nine suspected members of a notorious armed robbery gang at Akilbu forest, off Abuja-Kaduna expressway.

A statement by the Force spokesman, Frank Mba, a Deputy Commissioner of Police, on Sunday in Abuja, said this followed an exchange of gunfire between the police and members of the gang on April 10.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday, called for the cooperation of regional leaders, in curbing the illegal flow of arms into Nigeria.

No fewer than 10 persons have reportedly died and several cars burnt as tanker, which was laden with fuel exploded on a bridge in Gombe State.

According to Daily Trust, the tanker, carrying petrol, collided with another truck, carrying bottle water along Gombe southern bypass.

UTME 2019: What JAMB candidates suffered in Anambra


No fewer than 10 candidates for the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in Anambra failed to participate in the examination due to failure of the computer to confirm their thumbprint.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) correspondent, who monitored the UTME in Awka on Friday, reports that the affected candidates for the examination were walked out of the hall because the computers could not confirm them as candidates.

Some of the candidates who spoke to NAN expressed shock that the computers rejected them after printing out their details.

UI female student killed, two others injured as tricycle rams into waste disposal truck


A female student of the University of Ibadan, Miss Baliqs Olajumoke Adeniyi, Friday morning died in an auto crash involving a tricycle and a waste disposal truck in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

The incident occurred around 9.20 am at leventies bus stop, along Sango-UI Road in Ibadan.

Our correspondent who was at the scene of the incident shortly after it occurred saw scores of sympathisers and security agents trying to control the traffic and maintain law and order.

It was later discovered that one of the victims of the accident was a student of the University of Ibadan.

Man beats neighbour to death in Lagos


An Ebute Meta Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Friday ordered one Victor Sunday to be remanded in prison for allegedly beating his neighbour to death.


NAN reports that Sunday, 42, who resides at No. 5 Balogun St., Gbara in Lekki, is facing a charge of murder.

Court threatens arrest of APC governorship candidate over alleged criminal offences


A Federal High Court in Abuja has threatened to order the issuance of arrest warrant against Senator Hope Uzodinma should his lawyer renege on his pledge to produce him in court on April 18.

The Special Presidential Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property (SPIP) said it has, since filing a criminal charge against Uzodinma in October last year, been unable to have him attend court to plea to the charge.


The two-count charge marked FHC/ABJ/CR/107/2018, pending against Uzodinma before the court, reads as follow:

Court gives Saraki, Dogara five-day ultimatum to explain why they dumped APC for PDP



Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered Senate President Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara to respond to suit challenging their defection from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, within five days.


Justice Okon Abang on Friday also directed 18 senators, 36 House of Representatives members, the Attorney General of the Federation, INEC, Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu and Deputy Speaker Yusuf Lasun to file and serve others their papers before April 18, when the suit is set for hearing.
